TechGearLab gave this corded Wahl its Best Bang for Your Buck award in a six-clipper test, reporting that it cut every fur type without trouble and felt sturdy in the hand. It was also the loudest clipper in the group at 73.8 decibels, and the review says its vibration hurt the tester's hand after 20 minutes of steady grooming.

A value award from TechGearLab
TechGearLab bought six dog clippers at retail for side-by-side testing and named the Wahl Pet-Pro Grooming Kit its Best Bang for Your Buck. The review says the clipper will not break the bank and cuts efficiently on all types of dogs, and lists a great price-to-performance ratio among its reasons to buy.
TechGearLab describes the power as intense, most visibly on long, thick fur. It found no issues with cutting effectiveness despite the single speed, including after its drop test, and placed the Pet-Pro with the oneisall and the Andis EasyClip Pro-Animal as the clippers that performed exceptionally well for cutting.
Build and accessories
The reviewer found the build sturdy and the clipper ergonomic and comfortable to hold. TechGearLab notes the Wahl clippers it tested use fully stainless steel blades and calls them very well built. The included accessories met its needs and left it wanting nothing beyond what is in the package.
Noise, vibration and the cord
These are the costs of the low price. TechGearLab measured 73.8 decibels, the highest of the six clippers and well above the 65 dB ceiling the reviewer prefers for dogs that spook easily. It reports more vibration than any other model tested, and says the excessive vibration hurt the tester's hand after 20 minutes of consistent grooming.
The clipper is on the heavier side, and TechGearLab had to take a break because the relatively stiff cord made it hard to maneuver. It also lists the clipper as bulky.
Maintenance limits
TechGearLab reports that the manufacturer recommends not removing the blade, and so lists 'not recommended to service at home' as a reason to avoid it. In its cleaning comparison it names the oneisall, Andis and Yabife as very simple to clean and says the remaining models, this one included, had exceptionally difficult blades to clean.

- +TechGearLab praises its price-to-performance ratio and says the accessories covered its needs

How it compares
TechGearLab measured the Wahl Pet-Pro at 73.8 decibels, the loudest of the clippers on this page: the Andis EasyClip Pro-Animal measured 63.2, the oneisall Dog Clipper Model X2 61.5 and the Wahl Lithium-Ion Pro Series 60.6. Like the Andis it is corded and single-speed, and it costs far less. TechGearLab found its cord stiff, where it praised the Andis cord as flexible.
