The Timber Ridge oversized recliner earned the Upgrade Pick for its durable construction, supersmooth functionality and a 170-degree recline the team called exceptionally comfortable. Build and durability
The chair pairs a steel frame with a resilient oxford polyester seat and backrest and is rated to 350 pounds. Bob Vila reports that it held nearly still when testers rocked vigorously from side to side, and that it still worked perfectly after being dropped, both open and closed, several times on concrete.
Comfort and adjustment
Bob Vila's testers could adjust every part of the chair to open, close, lock and change the sitting position with little effort, and say it never felt too loose or too stiff.
