Best Choice Products Oversized Padded Zero Gravity Chair
3 sourcesall derived$84.99as of Oct 11

Best Choice Products' oversized zero-gravity chair is the padded option in this group: a removable cushion with a zip-off cover over Textilene on a powder-coated steel frame rated to 330 lb. The Spruce found the lock secure and the chair comfortable enough to sit in for hours. Reviewed's main complaint is that it does not actually recline to a true zero-gravity angle despite the listing.

Strengths
  • — Weather-friendly Textilene material over powder-coated steel frame supports up to 350 pounds
  • — Extra-wide seating with adjustable headrest for neck tension relief
  • — Lockable reclining system with elastic cords for extra support
Watch-outs
  • — Does not recline to a true zero-gravity angle despite the product listing
  • — Sometimes awkward to push back into the reclined position
  • — At 22.05 lbs it is heavy to carry any distance, and the fabric warms and fades in direct sun

Timber Ridge's oversized padded zero-gravity recliner is rated to 350 pounds and has a steel frame, an oxford polyester seat and back, an attached side tray and a sliding pillow. Bob Vila's test team made it the Upgrade Pick of 10 chairs, scoring it 5 of 5 for ease of use, comfort and durability and 4.7 for value, and found it comfortable in every position. Its one listed drawback is that it costs a bit more than similar chairs.

Strengths
  • — Adjustments to open, close and lock never felt too loose or too stiff, per Bob Vila
  • — Sliding pillow works as a headrest, neckrest or lumbar support
  • — 350-pound weight capacity with an attached side tray
Watch-outs
  • — Bob Vila's testers wanted a strap or lock to keep 20-plus-pound chairs from opening while being carried, a complaint they applied to all the chairs tested
