The verdict

Cats.com rates the Hey Brother Cat Tree 8.5/10 and names it best for senior cats, because the levels are close together and easy to navigate. Its reviewer's cats favor the hammocks, but the 35.4-inch tree nearly toppled when her 16-pound cat tried the side hammock, so the included wall strap matters.

Short steps for older cats

Cats.com names the Hey Brother Cat Tree its Best for Senior Cats pick and rates it 8.5/10, describing it as small and easy to navigate while still giving a senior cat plenty of options. The reviewer, whose cats are all seniors, says she can see the design coming in handy if any of them develop mobility issues.

Cats.com notes that the small scratching posts between each level attach to form one big post, so a senior cat can still scratch at full stretch.

Hammocks, bed and toy

The top bed has a removable cover and a toy with a bell hangs above the center hammock, according to Cats.com. The reviewer says her cats especially love lying in the hammocks and that she has found them on the top bed several times.
