Three large beds on a sturdy base
Cats.com describes the Deluxe Cat Tower as a simple cat tree with three large beds and carpeted and sisal scratching posts, and rates it 9.0/10 as its Best for Napping pick. The reviewer says the tree is sturdy, that she can see the base lasting a long time, and that it holds three of her cats at once without a problem.
She calls the beds spacious and says it is one of her cats' favorite places to sleep.
Mostly pre-assembled, but bring a drill
According to Cats.com the tower came mostly assembled with only the top bed unattached. The reviewer says what should have been an easy assembly was made harder by the lack of predrilled holes in the bed and post, and lists 'Drill needed for assembly' as a con.
The carpet is the weak point
Cats.com reports that the reviewer's 9-pound cat loves scratching the carpeted posts and was able to scratch a hole into one within two weeks of use. The same review says the carpet sheds heavily and tells buyers to be prepared for extra cleanup.
Size and build
Cats.com lists the tower at 20 by 20 by 51 inches and 47 pounds, built from solid wood with a carpet covering, made in the USA, in green or beige, with no established weight limit.
