Forbes Vetted's value pick
Forbes Vetted had panel testers use 11 umbrellas in their own outdoor spaces and score them over two weeks. The Blissun 9-Foot Patio Umbrella came out as its best value pick with a rating of 4.5 out of 5, and Forbes says it garnered a similar high score to many higher-priced options it tested.
Forbes credits the result to intuitive assembly, durability and a look it calls elevated for the price.
Build and setup
Forbes lists the frame as aluminum and iron and says the iron spokes make the umbrella feel extra sturdy. Its tester got it assembled and into a base with no trouble, pairing it with Blissun's own heavy-duty base stand.
She reported that the umbrella felt sturdy, that setup was pretty intuitive even though instructions were included, and that she did not think it looked very cheap despite its price.
Features and limits
Forbes describes the Blissun as a relatively no-frills option. It does have a push-button tilt so the canopy can be angled with the sun, and Forbes says the canopy is waterproof and made with sun-resistant polyester.
Its one listed con is that there is only one finish option. Forbes's spec line shows that no base is included, and counts 20 colors and striped patterns.

How it compares
The Blissun 9-Foot Patio Umbrella is the smallest and plainest umbrella on this page: a 9-foot polyester market umbrella, against 10 feet with solar lights for the Best Choice Products 10-Foot Umbrella With Solar Lights and 11 feet for the offset Purple Leaf 11-Foot Cantilever Umbrella. Forbes rated it 4.5, above the 4.3 it gave both of those. The Company Store 8' x 10' Rectangular Outdoor Patio Umbrella uses Sunbrella canvas and an auto-tilt where the Blissun has polyester and a push-button tilt.
