The Best Choice Products 10-foot market umbrella has solar-charged LED lights in its ribs, a crank lift and a push-button tilt. Forbes Vetted, whose panel testers used the umbrellas in their own outdoor spaces, scored it 4.3 out of 5 and named it the best patio umbrella with lights, with its tester calling it a great value that does not feel cheap or flimsy. No base is included, and Forbes says a very heavy one of more than 100 pounds is recommended.

How Forbes Vetted tested it
Forbes Vetted enlisted a panel of 10 testers to evaluate 11 popular umbrellas in their own backyards and patios, with an initial testing period of two weeks and longer-term testing continuing on the nine winners. Testers scored each umbrella on set criteria that included setup and assembly.
The Best Choice Products umbrella was named the best patio umbrella with lights. Forbes notes that although it is one of the most affordable recommendations on its list, it earned a score of 4.3 out of 5 from its tester.
Materials and setup
The tester called it a great value, saying it is much less expensive than the other options but does not feel cheap or flimsy. She praised how easy and straightforward the setup was.
She also found the polyester canopy easy to keep clean: during a heavy pollen spell she was able to wipe it off with a damp cloth. Forbes lists the frame as aluminum and steel and the canopy as UV-resistant, and counts 41 colors and striped patterns.
Lights and tilt
The umbrella opens and closes with a crank and uses a push-button tilt to follow the sun. Forbes reports the lights are designed to hold a charge for six to seven hours. They are controlled by an on/off switch on the pole, so they do not turn on or shut off automatically.
On looks, the tester said it does not have a high-end look like some of the others but that she found it beautiful and a nice addition to her deck.
The base is extra
Forbes's one listed con is that a very heavy base of over 100 pounds is recommended, and its spec line shows no base included. The tester paired the umbrella with a compatible Best Choice Products base recommended by the brand.
