2560 x 1600 on a 16-inch IPS panel
Resolution is the whole argument for this monitor. A 16-inch panel at 2560 x 1600 puts text at a density most portable screens do not reach, and TechRadar's review treats that as the reason to pick it over cheaper 1080p models even though colour accuracy is ordinary. The panel is rated at 300 nits, which is enough for an office or a train but not for working outdoors, and the 165Hz refresh figure on the spec sheet is more headroom than a second productivity screen will ever use.
The consistent criticism is uniformity. TechRadar found the backlight uneven across the panel, which is invisible on a spreadsheet and obvious on a dark image. Anyone doing colour-critical work should treat that as a hard limit rather than a quibble.
A stand built into the back, portrait or landscape
The stand folds out of the chassis rather than clipping on, which removes the usual problem of losing the cover that doubles as a prop. It holds the screen in both orientations, and portrait is the mode that justifies a second display at all — code, long documents, a chat window down the side. BGR describes the build as solid for the money.
Nothing protects it in a bag. There is no sleeve or case in the box, and the exposed panel is exactly the part that gets scratched, so budget for a sleeve separately.
One USB-C cable for power and picture
Connectivity is a mini HDMI input plus USB-C. A single USB-C cable carries both video and power from a laptop, which is the tidiest arrangement and also the one that drains the laptop fastest; splitting them, with HDMI for video and USB-C to a wall adapter or power bank, costs a cable and saves the battery. BGR walks through both setups.
Speakers worth ignoring, buttons worth using once
The built-in speakers are the weakest part of the product by a distance, thin and boxy in a way that even laptop speakers beat comfortably. Use headphones or the host machine's output instead. The physical buttons on the side are fiddly, though in practice most owners set brightness once and then leave the panel alone.
