In a video review titled as a one-year update, Lauren's Daily Edit said she has had the IKP02-30 for over a year and could now give an honest opinion. It is a short update, and it is positive throughout: she likes the sleek stainless steel look and closed by saying the household is so happy with it and that she highly recommends it.
Filters that come out with one lever
The feature she praised first is cleaning. She does not like the mesh screens on typical hoods. On the IKTCH, pulling a small lever releases both filter panels, they go in the dishwasher, and she said they come out nice and clean, which she called a game changer.
Gesture panel and lights
She demonstrated the motion sensor panel: a wave of the hand changes the fan speed and brings the lights on, and another shuts everything off. The lights can also be switched on with a push. Her reason for liking it is practical: when cooking or washing dishes with wet hands, nothing on the hood has to be touched, so it stays free of fingerprints.
What the update leaves out
Lauren's Daily Edit did not discuss noise, suction on smoky cooking or installation. The Amazon listing gives 900 CFM, four speeds, a 65 dB noise figure and a weight of 45 pounds, and includes a charcoal filter and remote control. Those are the seller's numbers, not test results, and buyers who cook with high heat should weigh that gap.
