Ranked #3 in Best Gaming Headsets

Logitech G733 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Headset

3.9

2 sources$119.99as of Oct 5

Battery life and range are the Logitech G733 LIGHTSPEED's headline numbers: up to 29 hours and 20m of LIGHTSPEED wireless. Tom's Hardware praised the PRO-G audio drivers for reduced distortion and rich sound quality, and reviewers liked the front-facing dual-zone LIGHTSYNC RGB for color customization. A suspension headband and dual-layer memory foam handle comfort over long gaming sessions. Two caveats: 278g may feel heavy over an extended stretch, and the detachable mic needs G HUB software for full customization.

Strengths

— Up to 29 hours of battery life
— LIGHTSPEED wireless with up to 20m range
— PRO-G audio drivers for reduced distortion and rich sound quality

Watch-outs

— Microphone is the weak point; Tom's Hardware called it subpar
— Mic presets, equaliser and lighting all require Logitech's G HUB software on a PC

Razer BlackShark V3 Pro Wireless

4.1

2 sources$219.99as of Oct 11

Razer's BlackShark V3 Pro is a wireless gaming headset built around 50mm drivers, active noise cancelling and a 70-hour battery on the 2.4GHz link. Tom's Hardware rated it three and a half out of five; Gaming Respawn's Peter Keen found the stock sound bad enough to need EQ work before he liked it, then praised the comfort and the build. The frame is roomy enough that smaller heads may swim in it, and at $249 it is priced against headsets that need less fiddling.

Strengths

— Exceptional comfort with breathable flowknit memory foam cushions
— 70 hours battery life on PC and 48 hours on Xbox/PlayStation
— 10ms wireless latency for fast-paced gaming

Watch-outs

— Default EQ profile is poor enough that the headset needs tuning in Razer's app before it sounds right
— Microphone still passes plosives, and the noise cancelling is mild rather than isolating
