The Mau Cento distinguishes itself with a modern aesthetic featuring real wood branches and hand-woven rattan baskets that blend into home decor, though its premium price point is notable compared to traditional cat trees. Assembly can be difficult due to sparse instructions and hidden screw holes obscured by thick fabric, as Reviewed found frustrating despite some users completing it quickly. Once built, the sturdy structure offers machine-washable cushions and replaceable parts, with nytimes noting that cats immediately claimed the cozy condo and perches for lounging. This investment piece suits owners seeking durable, eco-friendly furniture who can navigate complex setup, while those wanting easy assembly or lower costs should look elsewhere.

Strengths

— Distinctive modern aesthetic using real wood branches and woven rattan baskets that blends with home decor
— High-quality construction with sturdy solid wood pillars and durable sisal rope scratching posts
— Most components are replaceable, including cushions, baskets, and rope, extending the product's lifespan

Watch-outs

— Premium price point compared to traditional cat trees
— Assembly can be difficult due to sparse instructions and hidden screw holes in thick fabric
