Ranked #3 in Best Humidifiers for Large Rooms

Levoit LV600S 6L Smart Warm and Cool Mist Humidifier

3.9

2 sources$109as of Oct 11

The Levoit LV600S is the smart, quiet pick for a large bedroom. This ultrasonic hybrid puts out a surprising amount of vapor, which TechGearLab says lets it truly handle large spaces, and it offers both warm and cool mist through dual aimable nozzles. It runs as low as 26 dB and pairs with a smart app. Its 753 sq ft coverage is far below the consoles here and ultrasonic misting wants distilled water, but for a quiet, connected large bedroom it excels.

Strengths

— Puts out a large amount of vapor for an ultrasonic unit; TechGearLab calls it able to truly handle large spaces
— Very quiet, as low as 26 dB, with a dedicated sleep mode
— Smart VeSync app with auto humidity, scheduling, and voice control; TechGearLab calls the app surprisingly useful

Watch-outs

— Ultrasonic misting can leave white dust if you use hard tap water; distilled water is recommended

How they stack up

Dreo HM713S 6L Smart Humidifier

Like the Levoit LV600S, the Dreo HM713S is a 6-liter ultrasonic unit with warm and cool mist and app control. Bob Vila rates its coverage at up to 550 sq ft, below the LV600S's 753 sq ft and far below the 3,000 and 3,600 sq ft of the evaporative Levoit Superior 6000S and Aircare MA1201 consoles.

Levoit LV600S 6L Smart Warm and Cool Mist Humidifier

An ultrasonic warm-and-cool-mist unit with app control, the pick for a large bedroom rather than the whole-house reach of the Levoit Superior 6000S or Aircare MA1201. Its 753 sq ft rating is above the Dreo HM713S's 550 sq ft and far below both consoles, and unlike those evaporative consoles it can leave white dust with hard water.
