The Beatbot AquaSense 2 Ultra is pitched as an AI-powered robotic pool cleaner with 5-in-1 cleaning capabilities and a natural water clarification system. The Pool Nerd's review found the performance lacking, citing constant recharging issues, weak suction, and an underperforming filter. Advanced navigation and time-saving AI mapping are there, but they do not make up for the core functional shortcomings. Buyers who value AI features over raw cleaning power are the fit; anyone who needs strong suction and reliability should consider alternatives.

Strengths
  • — AI-powered mapping for precise navigation and obstacle detection
  • — 5-in-1 cleaning capability covering surface, floor, walls, waterline, and water purification
  • — Skin-safe and eco-friendly ClearWater natural clarification system
Watch-outs
  • — Surprisingly weak suction power
  • — Filter system feels inadequate

The Beatbot Sora 70 cleans the floor, walls, waterline and water surface in one cordless robot, then floats to the pool edge to be collected. Bob Vila rated it 4.5 out of 5 after a month in a Florida pool and PCMag rated it 4.0 (Excellent) after half a summer of testing. PCMag saw some missed spots, and Bob Vila notes it does not skim continuously like a dedicated solar skimmer.

Strengths
  • — Cleans the surface, walls, waterline and floor in one cycle, per Bob Vila and PCMag
  • — Parks itself at the pool edge when finished, so it does not have to be fished out of the deep end
  • — Large, easy-to-empty debris basket with fine mesh filters, per Bob Vila
Watch-outs
  • — PCMag saw some missed spots in testing
  • — App navigation only works when the robot is out of the water, per PCMag
  • — It does not skim continuously, so it does not replace a 24/7 solar skimmer, per Bob Vila

How they stack up

Beatbot AquaSense 2 Ultra Robotic Pool Cleaner

The Beatbot AquaSense 2 Ultra Robotic Pool Cleaner covers surface, floor, walls, waterline and water clarification in one unit, but its suction is described as weak where the Dreame Z1 Pro Robotic Pool Cleaner is rated at 8,000 GPH and the Aiper Scuba X1 Pro Max at 8500 GPH. It recharges constantly during cleaning sessions. It costs more than every other cleaner on this page.

Beatbot Sora 70 Robotic Pool Cleaner

Unlike the Dreame Z1 Pro, the Sora 70 skims the water surface; PCMag found the Dreame has stronger suction and can be steered underwater, which the Sora 70 cannot. At $1,199 it costs less than the Beatbot AquaSense 2 Ultra ($2,299) and Aiper Scuba X1 Pro Max ($1,700) listed on this page.
