ViscoSoft's 4-inch two-layer topper, sold over time as the Serene Hybrid and the Hybrid Lux, pairs a 1.5-inch down-alternative pillow top with 2.5 inches of gel-infused memory foam. Tom's Guide tested a queen for about a month and rated it 4.5 out of 5, praising pressure relief for side and back sleeping and reporting that its testers never felt hot on it. Sleepopolis scored it 3.9 out of 5 and does not recommend it for hot sleepers, because it has no cooling features beyond the gel foam and the pillow top may trap heat. Both outlets say it is too soft for stomach sleepers.
