Audeze Maxwell 2

3.7

90mm planar magnetic drivers and 80-hour battery life give the Audeze Maxwell 2 the audio detail and separation competitive FPS players want. Reviewers also found it extremely heavy and short on sub-bass, which hurts for immersive gaming and music. TechteamGB called it 'utter disappointment' over poor microphone quality, while Sidegrade praised the gaming performance but described it as a sidegrade from the original Maxwell. Analytical listeners and competitive gamers get the most out of it; everyone else may be put off by the weight and the bass limitations.

Strengths

— Excellent detail and sound separation for competitive FPS gaming
— 80-hour battery life
— Replaceable faceplates and improved headband design

Watch-outs

— Incredibly heavy at 562-574 grams
— Limited sub-bass and bass quantity

Logitech G733 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Headset

Battery life and range are the Logitech G733 LIGHTSPEED's headline numbers: up to 29 hours and 20m of LIGHTSPEED wireless. Tom's Hardware praised the PRO-G audio drivers for reduced distortion and rich sound quality, and reviewers liked the front-facing dual-zone LIGHTSYNC RGB for color customization. A suspension headband and dual-layer memory foam handle comfort over long gaming sessions. Two caveats: 278g may feel heavy over an extended stretch, and the detachable mic needs G HUB software for full customization.

Strengths

— Up to 29 hours of battery life
— LIGHTSPEED wireless with up to 20m range
— PRO-G audio drivers for reduced distortion and rich sound quality

Watch-outs

— Microphone is the weak point; Tom's Hardware called it subpar
— Mic presets, equaliser and lighting all require Logitech's G HUB software on a PC
