TechGearLab found the SEBO Airbelt K3 Premium one of the best canisters on low-pile carpet (90% pickup) with some of the best filtration it measured, but it was disappointed on hardwood, where the parquet brush picked up 89% against roughly 99% for most rivals, and long pet hair wrapped around the brush roll. In a video review, owner Zimra Fingerle praised four years of reliable use, low noise and adjustable carpet height. It suits carpet-heavy homes with allergy concerns and few pets, at a high price.

Strong on carpet, filtration
TechGearLab, which buys what it tests, scored the SEBO Airbelt K3 Premium 70 out of 100. With the ET-1 electric power head it picked up 90% of the mess on low-pile carpet, leaving mainly larger pieces such as Cheerios, and about 60% on a shag rug; more passes got most of the rest. Its filtration result was one of the best in the test, an average peak of 30 on TechGearLab's particle counter, where under 75 counts as excellent.
TechGearLab also found it moves like a much lighter vacuum than its measured 12.7 pounds, with an easy-pushing power head and a swivel that reaches tricky spots, and a large bag that lasts several cleans and is easy to change.
Weak on hardwood and pet hair
Hard floors were the letdown. The parquet brush sits too low for larger debris, so TechGearLab had to lift it over messes; it picked up 89% where most canisters manage about 99%. Running the power head with its brush roll off did no better, and along baseboards it scattered coffee grounds.
On pet hair it cleaned 68% on low pile and 64% on high pile, and TechGearLab found the longer hair wrapped around the brush roll. The upholstery tool, which fits on the end of the crevice tool, was awkward and did not clean the test pillow well.
An owner's long-term view
In a video review, Zimra Fingerle, who says she has used her K3 for about four years several times a week, highly recommends it: she likes the hardwood attachment, the carpet head's height settings, the low noise, the bumper that protects baseboards and the suction slider on the handle. Her one warning is the tug-and-retract cord, which can tangle inside if it is allowed to fly back.
SEBO lists a 1250-watt suction motor, a 25-foot cord with a 37-foot operating radius and a 0.8-gallon bag. TechGearLab recommends it for carpeted homes with lightly shedding pets, not homes with a lot of hardwood.
Strengths
- +TechGearLab measured 90% pickup on low-pile carpet with the ET-1 power head
- +Excellent filtration in TechGearLab's particle test (8.3 of 10)
- +Moves like a much lighter vacuum, with an easy swivel head, per TechGearLab; 12.7 lb measured
- +Owner Zimra Fingerle reports four years of use several times a week and finds it quiet, with handle-mounted suction control
Watch-outs
- −Disappointing on hardwood: the parquet brush cleared 89% and had to be lifted over Cheerios in TechGearLab's test
- −Long pet hair wrapped around the brush roll; 68% pet-hair pickup on low pile (TechGearLab)
- −Upholstery tool attaches to the end of the crevice tool and was awkward and not very effective (TechGearLab)
- −The cord can tangle inside if it retracts too fast, so Zimra Fingerle guides it in by hand
How it compares
TechGearLab scored it 70, the same as the Eureka Mighty Mite and below the Miele Classic C1 (78), which TechGearLab says beat it on hardwood and pet hair at about half the price. Its filtration rating (8.3 of 10) was higher than the Classic C1's 7.3 and the Kenmore Elite 81714's 6.8.
