The Toto Washlet S2 offers a premium bidet experience at a lower price point than the S5, with a heated seat, instant warm water, and comfortable spray features. Reviewers noted its easy installation and sturdy build, though it lacks the programmable user settings and remote control of its higher-tier counterpart. YouTube users praised the side-mounted controls and soft close lid as practical conveniences, while Wirecutter recommended it as a solid runner-up to the S5 for those seeking a balance of features and cost. It's best suited for users wanting Toto's quality without the premium price tag.

Strengths

— Heated seat provides comfort on cold mornings or during winter
— Side panel controls eliminate need for separate remote
— Soft close lid adds gentle, quiet operation

Tushy Spa 3.0

4.3

2 sourcesall derived$149as of Oct 18

The Tushy Spa 3.0 offers a modern bidet attachment that sprays both warm and cold water, providing a more thorough clean than toilet paper alone. Reviewers noted its sleek design, easy installation process, and adjustable settings for pressure and angle. However, some users found the cold water spray surprisingly strong and startling. The device is recommended for those seeking a hygienic alternative to traditional wiping, though it requires a separate hot water connection to access warm water features. It's ideal for households wanting enhanced bathroom cleanliness but may not suit those sensitive to cold water pressure.

Strengths

— Sprays both warm and cold water for versatile cleansing
— Easy installation with clear instructions and included components
— Adjustable water pressure and nozzle angle for personalized comfort

Watch-outs

— Requires separate hot water connection for warm water option

How they stack up

Toto Washlet S2 Electronic Bidet Toilet Seat

The Toto Washlet S2 Electronic Bidet Toilet Seat costs far less than the Toto Washlet and keeps a heated seat, instant warm water and the EWATER+ wand cleaning. It uses side panel controls where the Toto Washlet has a remote, and it has no programmable user settings against the Toto Washlet's four presets. Unlike the Tushy Classic 3.0 Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment, which needs no electricity and sprays cool water only, it requires a power outlet nearby.

Tushy Spa 3.0

The Tushy Spa 3.0 sprays warm and cold water, where the Tushy Classic 3.0 Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment is cool only, but warm water needs a separate hot water connection. The Luxe Bidet Neo 320 Plus also offers warm water, through a faucet connection, and adds a second nozzle for a feminine wash mode at a lower price. The Tushy Spa 3.0 has adjustable pressure and nozzle angle.
