Higher ratedRanked #2 in Best Smart Scales

Renpho Elis Chroma Aspire Smart Scale

4.3

2 sourcesall derived

Vibrant RGB lighting and a compact body give the RENPHO Elis Chroma smart scale some personality in a bathroom or bedroom. iMore praised its ease of use and solid Bluetooth connectivity, and Health Digest noted the 13 body composition metrics, visceral fat tracking included. Reviewers also flagged real limitations: BIA can't be disabled during pregnancy, and weight accuracy drifts without recalibration. The ambient light feature needs constant power, which is awkward with no outlet nearby. It fits users who value aesthetics and basic body composition tracking over advanced medical accuracy.

Strengths

— Multi-function RGB lights are fun and functional, with customizable color themes and ambient lighting options
— Small footprint makes it ideal for limited spaces, and the compact design is aesthetically pleasing
— Well-designed iOS and WatchOS apps with seamless Bluetooth connectivity and easy setup

Watch-outs

— Can't turn off Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) for pregnancy use
— USB-C charging may be inconvenient as it requires constant wall outlet access for ambient light mode

Ranked #5 in Best Smart Scales

Wyze Scale X

3.9

4 sources$39as of Oct 10

Accurate body composition tracking for very little money is the Wyze Scale X's pitch, and it feeds straight into Apple Health and Google Fit. PCMag praised the dual-scale technology behind its reliable measurements, and Tom's Guide noted the water-resistant build holds up in a bathroom. Users have reported limited third-party app compatibility and shorter battery life than expected. Budget-minded, health-conscious buyers are the fit; anyone who needs extensive app integration should consider alternatives.

Strengths

— 400-pound capacity and an IP67 seal for bathroom use
— 13 body-composition readings from a single step-on
— Weight syncs into Apple Health and Google Fit without extra software

Watch-outs

— Third-party app support beyond Apple Health and Google Fit is limited
— The Wyze app is basic next to rival scales' charting and coaching
— Eight user profiles is a hard ceiling for large or shared households

How they stack up

Renpho Elis Chroma Aspire Smart Scale

The Renpho Elis Chroma Aspire Smart Scale stands out with its RGB lighting and compact design, features not found in the Wyze Scale X or Etekcity HR Smart Fitness Scale. However, it's less accurate than the Withings Body Comp in terms of body composition data and lacks the cardiovascular health tracking capabilities of the Withings Body Smart.

Wyze Scale X

Unlike the Withings Body Comp and Withings Body Smart, which require subscriptions and charge premium prices, the Wyze Scale X offers affordable body composition tracking without monthly fees. However, it falls short of the Etekcity HR Smart Fitness Scale in terms of app syncing reliability and the Renpho Elis Chroma Aspire Smart Scale in terms of visual appeal and ambient lighting features.
