The Neewer RP19H is the best big-ring value and Tom's Guide's top overall pick, scored a full 5 stars and called 'the ultimate ring light.' CRI 97+ color accuracy and granular controls outclass cheaper lights, and the included tripod and triple phone holders make it a complete kit. The main gripes are a fiddly phone mount and a so-so tripod.

Strengths
  • — Excellent color accuracy with CRI 97+ and TLCI 98+
  • — Fine control: 100K color steps and 1% brightness increments
  • — Full kit with aluminum tripod, three phone holders and Bluetooth remote
Watch-outs
  • — 19-inch size is bulky for small or travel setups

Razer Ring Light
Ranked #3 in Best Ring Lights for Content Creators
Razer Ring Light
2 sources

The Razer Ring Light is the value sweet spot, a 12-inch USB light whose build quality and tripod punch above its price. Digital Camera World gave it a full 5/5, CGMagazine scored it 8/10, and TechGearLab rated it 74/100. It is not as bright as AC-powered lights, but for webcam streaming it nails the fundamentals cheaply.

Strengths
  • — Surprisingly sturdy, substantial included tripod
  • — USB-powered, so it can run off a power bank for portable use
  • — Three temperature presets (3000K/4500K/6500K) with 10 brightness steps
Watch-outs
  • — USB power means it is dimmer than AC lights like the Elgato
  • — Fully retracted tripod footprint can crowd a small desk
