Ranked #3 in Best Humidifiers for Large Rooms
Levoit LV600S 6L Smart Warm and Cool Mist Humidifier
2 sources$109as of Oct 11

The Levoit LV600S is the smart, quiet pick for a large bedroom. This ultrasonic hybrid puts out a surprising amount of vapor, which TechGearLab says lets it truly handle large spaces, and it offers both warm and cool mist through dual aimable nozzles. It runs as low as 26 dB and pairs with a smart app. Its 753 sq ft coverage is far below the consoles here and ultrasonic misting wants distilled water, but for a quiet, connected large bedroom it excels.

Strengths
  • — Puts out a large amount of vapor for an ultrasonic unit; TechGearLab calls it able to truly handle large spaces
  • — Very quiet, as low as 26 dB, with a dedicated sleep mode
  • — Smart VeSync app with auto humidity, scheduling, and voice control; TechGearLab calls the app surprisingly useful
Watch-outs
  • — Ultrasonic misting can leave white dust if you use hard tap water; distilled water is recommended

Levoit Superior 6000S Smart Evaporative Humidifier
1 source$250as of Oct 10

The Levoit Superior 6000S is built for the biggest rooms. A 6-gallon tank covers up to 3,000 sq ft and runs up to 72 hours between refills, and because it is evaporative it takes ordinary tap water with no white dust. Bob Vila named it the best overall evaporative model, praising weekly refills even on auto. It runs quiet and takes app control. Replaceable wick filters and a bulky console are the trade-offs; whole-room coverage is its strength.

Strengths
  • — Huge 6-gallon tank covers up to 3,000 sq ft and runs up to 72 hours on low before a refill
  • — Bob Vila's best-overall evaporative pick; refill about once a week even running on auto
  • — Evaporative design works with tap water and produces no white dust or wet film near the unit
Watch-outs
  • — Wick filters need periodic replacement, an ongoing cost evaporative units share

How they stack up

Levoit LV600S 6L Smart Warm and Cool Mist Humidifier

An ultrasonic warm-and-cool-mist unit with app control, the pick for a large bedroom rather than the whole-house reach of the Levoit Superior 6000S or Aircare MA1201. Its 753 sq ft rating is above the Dreo HM713S's 550 sq ft and far below both consoles, and unlike those evaporative consoles it can leave white dust with hard water.

Levoit Superior 6000S Smart Evaporative Humidifier

The largest-coverage smart unit here, edging the Aircare MA1201 console on app control and quiet operation while matching it for whole-room reach. It covers far more than the ultrasonic Levoit LV600S or Dreo HM713S, and its evaporative design avoids the white dust that the LV600S can leave with hard tap water.
