Genie StealthDrive Connect 7155-TKV
1 source$322.99as of Nov 2

The Genie StealthDrive Connect 7155-TKV is a 1-1/4 HP belt-drive opener with Wi-Fi control through the Aladdin Connect app, battery backup, two remotes and an outdoor keypad. HandyDadTV bought one with its own money, installed it alone on a new door and, after a month, gave it two thumbs up for quiet, reliable running, while knocking the short power cord, a light lens that would not stay on and a keypad that needs the full code to close the door. Owner Nicholas Cordero, who replaced a broken belt-drive unit, found it easy to install and much quieter, but had to fit the new safety sensors before every function worked.

Strengths
  • — Quiet: HandyDadTV says it can barely be heard from inside the house, and Nicholas Cordero found it far quieter than his old opener
  • — Both reviewers installed it themselves; HandyDadTV calls the install easy to do alone
  • — Aladdin Connect app gave HandyDadTV open and close alerts, an auto-close rule after 10 p.m. and remote control
Watch-outs
  • — Short power cord; HandyDadTV needed a temporary extension cord to reach an outlet
  • — Closing the door from the keypad means re-entering the code, unlike Chamberlain's one-button close, per HandyDadTV
  • — One light lens kept falling off in HandyDadTV's install
