Jabra Enhance Plus

4.0

2 sources$890.95as of Oct 18

SoundGuys found that while the Jabra Enhance Plus offers exceptional comfort and battery life exceeding 14 hours per charge, its audio quality is unsuitable for music due to inaudible bass and harsh vocals. Hearweb reported that signal processing effectively boosts speech intelligibility in noisy environments, though wind noise distortion remains a notable issue during outdoor use via Listen Mode. The device requires iOS 14 or later, leaving Android users without compatibility as the earbuds rely on the Jabra Enhance app for essential functions like mode switching and profile creation. This product fits mild to moderate hearing loss sufferers who are already invested in the Apple ecosystem and prioritize communication clarity over entertainment audio.

Strengths

— SoundGuys found the earbuds comfortable and noted they provide better battery life than advertised, with Hearweb confirming over 14 hours of usage per charge.
— Hearweb reported that signal processing technology effectively boosts speech intelligibility in noisy environments through features like environmental-based noise reduction.
— The device is ultra-lightweight at just under 3g per earbud and offers a compact charging case, making it discreet for daily wear as noted by SoundGuys and Hearweb.

Watch-outs

— SoundGuys found that audio quality is not suitable for music due to inaudible bass and harsh over-emphasis on high-pitched vocals.
— Hearweb reported noticeable wind noise distortion in Listen Mode, indicating the microphone does not properly filter outdoor sound artifacts.
— The device currently works only with iOS devices running iOS 14 or later, leaving Android users without compatibility.

How they stack up

Elehear Beyond

The Elehear Beyond provides superior audio clarity and a higher SoundScore than the Audien Atom X, which struggles with speech intelligibility. While it shares Bluetooth streaming capabilities with the Jabra Enhance Plus, the Elehear Beyond supports both iOS and Android, whereas the Jabra device is restricted to Apple users only.

Jabra Enhance Plus

Unlike the Elehear Beyond which supports both iOS and Android, the Jabra Enhance Plus is restricted to iOS devices only. It offers better speech intelligibility in noise than the Audien Atom X but produces harsh vocals that make it unsuitable for music listening compared to the Sennheiser All-Day Clear.
