Dyson V8 vs eufy HomeVac S11 Infinity

Which is the better buy? Side-by-side on rating, price, strengths, and watch-outs — with the published ratings we averaged to get there.

The short answer

Dyson V8 comes out ahead by a narrow margin (4.1 vs 3.9). The gap is mostly about Small apartments and budget-conscious buyers who want real Dyson build and filtration without the V15 price. — read the strengths below before deciding.

Dyson V8
Higher ratedRanked #4 in Best Cordless Stick Vacuums
Dyson V8
$299

The redesigned V8 keeps everything most buyers wanted from Dyson — sealed HEPA, anti-tangle brushroll and a confident detachable handheld — while dropping the price below $300 on sale. You lose the V15's laser, particle counter and 240 AW headroom, but the V8 cleans short-pile carpet and hardwood reliably for the cost of a budget Shark. It's the value-tier Dyson that actually delivers Dyson cleaning.

Strengths
  • Detangling Motorbar cleaner head solves the V8's old hair-wrap weakness
  • Lightest Dyson cordless at 5.6 lbs handle weight
  • 40-minute Eco runtime is competitive at this price
Watch-outs
  • 115 AW peak suction is less than half the Dyson V15's 240 AW
  • Boost mode lasts only 7-10 minutes per Vacuum Wars and TechGearLab testing
  • 0.53 L bin requires more frequent emptying than the V15's 0.76 L
eufy HomeVac S11 Infinity
Ranked #5 in Best Cordless Stick Vacuums
eufy HomeVac S11 Infinity
$249

The HomeVac S11 Infinity is the budget cordless that gets the basics right and adds the one trick almost nobody else does at this price: two batteries in the box. For roughly $250 list you get 80 minutes of total runtime, a five-tool kit, sealed 5-tier filtration and pickup performance that closes most of the gap to mid-priced rivals. Build quality and max-mode runtime are clear weaknesses, but the value math works for budget-conscious buyers.

Strengths
  • Two swappable batteries in the box for 80 minutes total runtime
  • 120 AW peak suction matches the Shark Detect Pro at half the price
  • Roughly half the price of brand-name cordless vacuums
Watch-outs
  • Max mode runs only 8 minutes per battery before draining
  • Dirt pickup trails premium cordless on edge cases per Expert Reviews
  • Brushless DC motor noise is higher than newer competitors at 78 dB

How they stack up

Dyson V8

Cheaper than every other vacuum on this page except the eufy HomeVac S11 Infinity. Less suction than the Tineco Pure ONE S15 Pro and far less than the Dyson V15 Detect, but the only sub-$300 vacuum with full Dyson HEPA sealing and the new detangling Motorbar head.

eufy HomeVac S11 Infinity

Lowest sticker price on this page and the only one with two batteries in the box. Matches the Shark Cordless Detect Pro on peak suction but with less polished smart-sensing. Less powerful than Dyson V8 on carpet but cheaper.
