The Dyson Purifier Cool TP07 is a bladeless tower fan with a sealed HEPA H13 and carbon filter, and reviewers split on it depending on which half they judge. HouseFresh calls it the best fan and air purifier combo on the market and measured its fan at 3.03 m/s, yet says it disappoints as a purifier alone: it took 62 minutes to clear HouseFresh's test room, longer than a $99 Levoit Core 300. PCMag gave it an Editors' Choice for its small footprint, app and voice control, with two complaints: it is expensive and it gets loud at full speed.

The Honeywell QuietSet HYF290B has eight named speeds, a dimmable display and a 1/2/4/8-hour timer, but the published tests are not kind to it. TechGearLab scored it 42 out of 100, last of the nine tower fans it tested, and said it was underwhelmed by the fan's power and circulation. BestReviews measured a strong 5.1 mph at 3 feet but heard a loud grinding noise whenever the fan oscillated and said it could not recommend buying it. Top Ten Reviews was kinder, calling it the most versatile fan it tested while noting it is not the most powerful.

Dyson Purifier Cool TP07

The only fan on this page that also filters air, and by far the most expensive. It oscillates through 350 degrees, against 90 degrees side to side on the Levoit Classic 42-Inch and 60 degrees on the Lasko T42951 Wind Curve. Like the Levoit it has app and voice control, which the Lasko and the Honeywell HYF290B lack.

TechGearLab tested it in the same group as a Lasko Wind Curve and ranked the Honeywell below it (42 against 48).
