Ranked #4 in Best Fast-Drying Hair Dryers
Conair InfinitiPro 1875W
2 sources$44.99as of Oct 16

The Conair InfinitiPro 1875W is the budget pick and proof you do not need to spend hundreds to dry hair fast. Its pro AC motor dries up to 50% faster than Conair's DC dryers, and TechGearLab found it dried with 'above-average expedience' even as its overall 57/100 score reflects the basic build. It is loud, simple, and short-corded. For around $40 with a diffuser and concentrator in the box, the value is excellent.

Strengths
  • — A genuine budget fast-dryer: the pro AC motor dries up to 50% faster than Conair's DC-motor models and lasts up to 3x longer
  • — Costs a tiny fraction of premium rivals while still drying with 'above-average expedience' in TechGearLab testing
  • — Includes both a concentrator and a diffuser, covering straight and curly routines
Watch-outs
  • — Lowest-scoring dryer here at 57/100 in TechGearLab testing; very basic versus premium tools
  • — Cord is shorter than average (under 6 ft), which can be restrictive
  • — Handle-mounted buttons are easy to bump and change mid-dry, and it is not ideal for frizz-prone hair

A light, high-speed dryer with a 110,000 RPM brushless motor that TechAdvisor gave five stars and TechRadar four. TechRadar dried thick, medium-length hair in just under seven minutes and TechAdvisor cut its usual 10 to 12 minute dry to seven or eight. Both note a short cord, and TechRadar misses a separate cool-shot button and a hanging loop.

Strengths
  • — Dried damp, thick, medium-length hair in just under seven minutes on its highest setting in TechRadar's test
  • — Cut TechAdvisor's usual 10 to 12 minute dry to seven or eight minutes, with no static or frizz
  • — Light at 0.89lb/407g without the cable, per TechRadar and TechAdvisor
Watch-outs
  • — Short 1.8m/5.9ft cord, flagged by both TechRadar and TechAdvisor
  • — No separate cool-shot button and no hanging loop, per TechRadar
  • — TechRadar found it quiet, but not as quiet as promised

How they stack up

Conair InfinitiPro 1875W

The cheapest and most basic dryer here. It does not match the airflow control of the Dyson Supersonic, the raw speed of the Shark HyperAIR HD120, the styling range of the Shark FlexStyle HD440, or the blowout finish of the Drybar Buttercup, but its AC motor dries far faster than its price suggests.

Laifen Swift High-Speed Hair Dryer

TechRadar timed the Dyson Supersonic at four and a half minutes on the same hair the Laifen Swift dried in just under seven, so the Dyson is faster, but TechAdvisor weighed the Swift at 407g against the Supersonic's 560g. Unlike the Conair InfinitiPro 1875W it uses a high-speed brushless motor with magnetic attachments.
