How they stack up

Bosch 800 Series NIT8661UC

Wirecutter picked both the Bosch 800 Series NIT8661UC and the Miele KM 7740 FR; the Bosch has the larger main element (13 inches against the Miele's 11) while the Miele draws 3,700 W on boost against the Bosch's 3,600 W and carries a two-year warranty against Bosch's one. At $3,099.00 the Bosch is priced below the Miele KM 7740 FR ($3,199), the Miele KM 7745 FL ($3,999) and the Impulse Cooktop ($6,999). It mounts flush with the counter, where the KM 7740 FR sits above it in a steel frame.
