3.8

2 sourcesall derived$30as of Oct 10

The Auroth No Pull Harness is described as a sturdy, affordable tactical harness with reflective features and four adjustment points. Reviewers noted its durability and good shoulder motion, though some criticized the use of aluminum hardware and lack of adjustable chest sizing. YouTube reviewers praised its heavy-duty build and ease of use, while Rebarkable's Ali Smith recommended it for smaller dogs but cautioned against use with larger, more forceful breeds. It's positioned as a budget-friendly option in the tactical harness market.

Strengths

— Reflective elements for visibility
— Affordable pricing compared to other tactical harnesses
— Sturdier than many harnesses with good coverage, without restricting shoulder movement, per Rebarkable

Watch-outs

— Aluminum leash attachment points may compromise durability
— Front chest piece is a fixed size — "not adjustable in the chest," per Rebarkable — which can limit fit on barrel-chested dogs

Ruffwear Front Range Dog Harness

4.7

1 source$59.99as of Oct 11

The Ruffwear Front Range harness offers a well-balanced combination of comfort, durability, and functionality for everyday dog walking and training. Rebarkable's review highlighted its washability, reflective features, and the practical ID pocket as standout qualities. YouTube demonstrations emphasized its ease of use and adjustable fit, making it suitable for most dogs. However, the harness has limitations for larger or brachycephalic breeds, as noted by both reviewers. This harness is ideal for active dog owners seeking a reliable, everyday harness that provides safety and comfort without overcomplicating the design.

Strengths

— Front and back leash attachment points for versatile training
— Washable nylon-webbing construction with foam padding
— ID tag pocket for secure and accessible identification

Watch-outs

— Does not accommodate very large dogs
— Not suitable for Bulldog-type breeds with unique body shapes

How they stack up

Auroth No Pull Harness

The Auroth No Pull Harness is a tactical-style nylon harness with four adjustment points, the same count listed for the Ruffwear Front Range Dog Harness and the PetSafe Easy Walk Comfort No-Pull Dog Harness. Its front chest piece is a fixed size, which can limit fit on barrel-chested dogs. It costs about half as much as the Front Range, and Rebarkable recommends it for smaller dogs over larger, more forceful breeds.

Ruffwear Front Range Dog Harness

The Ruffwear Front Range Dog Harness is a washable nylon-webbing harness with foam padding, an ID tag pocket, and front and back leash attachment points. Its four adjustment points compare with five on the Ruffwear Web Master Harness, which has a large padded back panel. Like the PetSafe Easy Walk Comfort No-Pull Dog Harness, it offers a front attachment for training, and it is not suited to Bulldog-type breeds.
