Best Litter Boxes

The Petlibro Luma Smart Litter Box is designed for multi-cat households seeking health monitoring capabilities. Reviewers noted its ability to track individual cat usage, distinguish between pee and poo, and send alerts for missed bathroom visits. The app provides an overview of each cat's habits and improves learning over time. While it's praised for ease of use and cat acceptance, some reviewers questioned its suitability for cats that struggle with new environments. It's best suited for pet owners with multiple cats who want detailed health insights rather than just automatic cleaning.

WIRED reviewer rated the Petkit Purobot Ultra 8/10, praising its AI facial recognition and video monitoring capabilities. The device uses a rotating camera to record cats using the box and tracks usage via app. However, the video quality is described as poor and the AI's accuracy decreases after the 30-day free trial. The reviewer noted that while the box is effective for monitoring cat health through stool analysis, the video feed is difficult to observe due to low resolution. It's best suited for cat owners who want smart monitoring features but may not be ideal for those seeking high-quality video footage.

The Catit Jumbo Hooded Litter Box with Airsift Filter System is designed for large cats or busy multi-cat homes, offering spacious comfort and easy maintenance. Reviewers noted its hooded design provides privacy and helps contain scatter, while the integrated carbon filter effectively reduces odours. The wide front opening facilitates easy scooping and cleaning. Some users found the clear flap attachment less appealing to cats, and the carrying handle may be difficult to use when the box is full of litter. This product is best suited for households with large or multiple cats.
